Jack and the Beanstalk wins big at NODA London Awards
Our 2016 pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk won the It's Behind You award for best pantomime at the 2016 NODA London Awards
We were honoured to have our 2016 pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk nominated for the best pantomime award at the 2016 NODA London awards, but then to find out we had won the award was the icing on the cake.
The pantomime was an original script written by one of members, Tom Everitt. The script was fresh and new which is something we are always looking for and although the older pantomime scripts are still used today some of them are a little dated so it was good to have Tom (who also played the Dame) come forward with his new, more up-to-date script. Catherine Everitt produced and directed pantomime and deserves as much if more credit than Tom for taking his script and producing this magnificent pantomime. With a mix of great characters, impressive sets, colourful costumes and toe-tapping songs this was a great show and to gain recognition through the winning of an award makes it all the better.
Talking of songs, not only did we have an original script but also an original opening song "Sky High" written by Mike Watson. Well done to Catherine and her team for the award...lets hope its the first of many.
Also congratulations to Ceri Nicolson and her team, as Daisy Pulls It Off was nominated for the award for best set, and although we didn't win the award it is still a great achievement to be nominated.
