December 2024 and we were asked to perform for another year at the annual Christmas in the Village for the local Lane End community. In previous years we have performed our Mummer's Play but this year we performed a condensed version of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens written by Tom Everitt. The play took the popular story condensing it into a short 10 minute version which included all the classic character such as Scrooge, Tiny Tim and Bob Cratchitt. Much to the delight of the children in attendance the narrator for the evening was Father Christmas himself. The play was fun and enjoyable and capped off with a rendition of 'The 12 Days of Christmas' with the audience joining in.
