Description
Nell Gwynn is a witty and lively play with music and dance about the life of Nell Gwynn, the celebrated orange seller who became one of the first women on the English stage and the mistress of King Charles II. Virtually all the characters are real people from history, and the events in the play are based, with embellishments, on real life.
We had a great cast- a strong team of experienced actors, including some new and nearly new faces and some who have been treading the Lane End village hall boards for some time. Here is the cast: Nell Gwynn- Jody Cook Rose Gwynn - Becky Valentine Nancy - Ellen Burnett Old Ma Gwynn-Jossy Pearce Barbara Castlemaine - Kate Tysoe Queen Catherine - Rhiannon Langan Louise de Kéroualle - Ali Scott King Charles - Alan Paterson Charles Hart - Leeroy King Thomas Killigrew - Peter Rose Edward Kynaston - Ben Sansum John Dryden ~ Nigel Bacon Lord Arlington- Sam Thanvi Ned Spigget - Alex Lewis Ensemble-Lauren Cubitt, John Nicolson, Erick Madrona, Sophie Koziol. |
