LEP win 5 district NODA awards...again!
Story
We are again proud to announce that the Lane End Players have won another 5 NODA District Awards. We are in the London District for NODA so to win and be nominated against a lot of competition is amazing and bravo to all winners. All winners will now have the opportunity to attend the NODA event in June to collect their District Awards and then go on to possibly win the overall Regional Award in each category. We wish them all the very best of luck.
Ray Brennan has been nominated for the Nigel Gravette Award for Best Pantomime performances for his role as the Sherriff of Nottingham in our 2026 pantomime, Robin Hood and Maid Marian. We have also been nominated for the "It's Behind You" award for Best Pantomime, a big well done to Ceri Nicolson (who also wrote the pantomime) and Peter Rose. Not only that but the pantomime was also nominated for the Scenic Design Award, congratulations to Libby Beck and team, this is a very prestigious award where we are up against all types of sets from plays to musicals so to be nominated for a panto is a great achievement.
Two other awards, both of which are very much deserved go to Paul Brown for the Sylvia Rawlings Lifetime Achievement Award for his 50+ years of being a solid, reliable, talented member of the LEP. The second award is for Gill and Colin Fox who are nominated jointly for the Shelly Lemesh Award for Unsung Hero, is is much deserved due to the amount of time and effort Gill puts into costumes and Colin puts into set and props.
Well done to all. Lets hope you also win the Regional Awards in June.
