Description
Our 2026 spring production was Sheila's Island by Tim about four women from a business team-building retreat who become stranded on a small island in the Lake District after a canoeing accident. As they struggle to survive, tensions rise and their polished workplace personas begin to crack. Old rivalries, insecurities, and hidden resentments surface, turning the situation into a mix of comedy, conflict, and emotional revelation. The play explores friendship, power dynamics, and how people behave when removed from everyday social rules.
This was a wonderful comedy filled with hilarious and also some very thought provoking moments. The play was directed by Catherine Everitt who did a marvellous job at bringing this play to life. Our small stage was turned into an island in the middle of a lake and Catherine and the team did an amazing job creating this impressive set. The cast were fabulous, not only did they have the mammoth task of learning so many lines but they also bought these characters to life in such a real and believable way. Kudos to all four of them for their excellent portrayals of these four very different characters.
