Description“A sentimental, often hilarious farce, full of loopy jokes.”
Trying to forget his marital problems, dull and doleful Charlie Baker takes a fishing-lodge holiday in the Deep South of America, and to avoid being pestered by the locals, pretends that he is a foreigner who speaks no English. This leads him to become unwittingly involved in bizarre goings-on including a dubious preacher, his pregnant girlfriend, her non-too-bright kid brother and a contingent of less-than-welcoming locals. The Foreigner was the last play written by American dramatist Larry Shue, and has enjoyed successful runs on both sides of the Atlantic. Cast Charlie Baker - James Wood Sgt.
