February 2023 saw the Lane End Players produce a fun and exciting Wild West murder mystery show Set in Pine Grove in the 1890s, 'The Groom Has Cold Feel' is a Wild West murder mystery play which was fun and exciting and enjoyable for both cast and audience. With Kath Gill at the helm it was sure to be a fantastic production and the audience response certainly confirmed this. Not only were the audience treated to a great play but during the Friday and Saturday night performances they were also treated to a delicious 2 course meal. Tickets sold out quickly and we had to add an extra night much to the delight of those who missed out the first time round. Sheriff Tickle, his bumbling Deputy Milton and over excited daughter Sarah, need to solve the murder of local tyrant Albert Webster...but who was the killer? Who from the list of suspects could've committed the crime; was it the runaway bride, the angry mother-in-law, the lovesick local simpleton, the disgruntled saloon girl, the money borrowing sad-sack, the cake loving maid of honour or maybe an out of town stranger. Well with the help of a cast of busy body townsfolk and a question asking audience, the Sheriff was able to solve the crime...but if you were in attendance please don't let the cat out of the bag.
