DescriptionIt was great to be back in the village hall, post COVID with not one but two plays.
After our hugely successful, sell-out open-air production of Darling Buds of May, we were delighted to return to Lane End Village Hall - it had been a while (thanks Covid-19)! To celebrate, we did not one but two plays. Two, by Jim Cartwright, and Love Letters by A R Gurney are both plays for just 2 actors and, on the surface at least, that seems to be all they have in common. The settings are worlds apart and the characters from opposite sides of the world. But look more closely and both plays deal with themes of enduring love, loss and the relationships that underpin our lives. And, as in life, though there may sometimes be sadness, there is also humour. The plays were performed in an intimate setting with audience seated at tables.
